It has been reported in main stream media that a security researcher has found a new batch of 773 million email addresses and 21 million passwords on a popular hacking forum and crucially 140 million of the email addresses have not been seen before leading to speculation of a recent hack on someone’s site, although there is no word of where they may have come from yet.
Keep yourself safe by using a password manager so that you can have a random password for each site and not reuse the same password in multiple places.
